About Cailey

By: Kayla Nadot

Covered from head to toe in Garnet Valley volleyball gear and apparel, athlete, Cailey sat at her desk opening up her laptop and getting out a notebook from her black bookbag. Cailey signed up for the Journalism class in hopes of being able to write a lot and learn from her writing. She had always loved writing when she was younger and was excited to build on the topic of it. She’s constantly keeping busy and self-motivated because she is always finding reasons to do things. Along with finding reasons to do things, she also stays motivated by wishing to be a role model for her younger sister.

“I hope to be the best example that I can for my little sister, if I’m putting forth my best effort she will too,” says Cailey. She has always aspired to be a role model for others, along with having a position as a physical therapist.

Cailey attends Garnet Valley High School and her strongest subject is Science. She feels as though an important quality she has is note taking and wants to improve on asking questions and getting help when she needs it on understanding certain topics. A typical day in her life consists of going to school, going to volleyball practice, and spending time with her sister or friends.

“It’s my favorite sport and one of my favorite activities to do in my free time,” she states about volleyball which plays a key role in Cailey’s life. Her coaches are constantly trying to help her improve which she loves because she feels it makes her a better player and constructive criticism is something she responds to well.

You can find Cailey listening to country music in her spare time, but never Indie.

“Country music always has a happy vibe to it, what is there not to love? Indie I’ve never been a fan of, I just don’t like how it sounds,” she explains.

Usually, Cailey will be chilling comfortably in a sweatshirt and sweatpants because comfort is her ideal outfit, but never in the color orange. Her favorite food is mac and cheese because it’s delicious and she loves comfort food. When asked if there was anywhere in the world she could visit, where would it be, she confidently answered, “Italy, Punta Cana, and Hawaii” all because they were beautiful and interesting places that she felt she would enjoy. As The bell rang and saying goodbye, Cailey left the interview in the same cheerful manner she had begun it in and walked out to meet her friends for lunch.
